The NBA is investigating a Twitter account and whether or not it may very well be a throwaway account for referee Eric Lewis, based on a number of information retailers.
The account, @CuttliffBlair, was revealed by Twitter person @PabloEscoburner late final week. The location was created in November 2015 and, based on screenshots posted by PabloEscoburner, has been a constant advocate for Lewis and NBA officiating normally, responding to unfavorable tweets and highlighting Lewis’ work.
NBA reporter Marc Stein first reported on the investigation Friday, and ESPN and The Athletic confirmed by sources Sunday that the league is investigating Lewis and his hyperlink to the account.
